John was thorough, detailed, kind and personable. He was able to schedule an inspection for us with only 24 hours notice, and send us the inspection list within 2 hours of completing the inspection. He gave us great advice and has a ton of experience. We would highly recommend him to anybody in need of a home inspection in the Chicagoland area!

I had John for my home inspection and he was very thorough, efficient and helpful! I am a first-time homebuyer with not a lot of experience with house maintenance and repairs. He explained everything in detail and gave me great tips on how to maintain things and when to replace them, showed me where things are how they work. He gave me a detailed report with photos so I could show the seller and request for repairs. I highly recommend him to anyone going through the home buying process.

So, I’m a realtor and have encountered a ton of different home inspectors over the years. Like any profession, there are good, bad, and mediocre inspectors. Once I was introduced to John Terry it was game over for all the rest of them. John is hands down the most engaging, professional, thorough and knowledgeable inspector out there. Not only does he do a great job on the inspection report itself, he goes out of his way to share info on things that a new homeowner can do from day one to protect their investment. He’s uncovered latent defects that would have been crazy expensive to fix, and also helped put a buyer at ease when there were issues that seemed daunting at first but turned out to be quick, cheap fixes. He’s always quick to respond to questions and scheduling, and he’s got a great attitude that makes inspections interesting, fun, and educational. Can’t recommend him enough.

John went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did he show us was immediately needed on the home, he walked through what things would need to be addressed in 5,10, and 15 years in the future. More importantly, I called him to ask some questions months after the inspection, he came over to personally show me how to fix a problem. Buying a home is the biggest purchase you will ever make, you need a guy like John to give you the facts.

JT was amazing and incredibly thorough with our recent home inspection. He was able to not only find issues that we weren’t aware of, but also gave us a history lesson about the home in the process.
